Famille Peillot works the alpine slopes of Bugey, in the Savoie region of eastern France. The winery focuses on the distinctive white and red varieties that define this lesser-known terroir: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Altesse—the local name for Roussette. The Chardonnay Bugey expresses the mineral precision of high-altitude viticulture, while the Pinot Noir captures the region's cool-climate character. The Roussette de Montagnieu QV, made from Altesse, showcases the aromatic complexity and structure that have drawn attention from Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.
