Fattoi produces Sangiovese-based wines from Montalcino in Tuscany's heart. The winery's portfolio centers on the region's defining expressions: Rosso di Montalcino, a younger, more approachable iteration; Brunello di Montalcino, the structured flagship; and Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, which undergoes extended aging to reveal deeper complexity. Sangiovese thrives in Montalcino's limestone-rich soils and continental climate, developing the grape's characteristic structure, acidity, and dark cherry character. Fattoi's wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Falstaff. The Riserva achieves particular depth, while the standard Brunello balances power with elegance—hallmarks of the appellation. The Rosso offers entry into the house's style without the extended aging demands of its senior expressions.
