Force Majeure produces wines from Red Mountain, the warmest and most prestigious subregion of Washington's Yakima Valley. The winery focuses on Rhône and Bordeaux varieties suited to the area's intense sun and well-drained volcanic soils. Its flagship releases include the Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Collaboration Series I, a structured Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot; Les Volés Mourvèdre, a singular expression of that Rhône varietal; and Parvata, a Rhône-style blend anchored by Mourvèdre with Grenache, Counoise, Cinsault, and Syrah. These wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Wine Spectator.
