Gentile produces wines from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the storied red wine zone of central Italy's Abruzzo region. The winery's flagship Orfeo Montepulciano d'Abruzzo showcases the dark-skinned Montepulciano grape in its classical expression—structured and mineral-driven, the variety that defines this corner of the Apennines. Alongside the red, Gentile works with Pecorino, the indigenous white of Abruzzo, in Piè della Grotta, and returns to Montepulciano for a rosato of the same name. The wines reflect the austere character of their terroir: high elevation, continental climate, and limestone-rich soils that impart precision and backbone to both red and white.
