Georges Deleger

Georges Deleger produces white Burgundy from Chassagne-Montrachet, in the Côte de Beaune. The winery's Chassagne-Montrachet, a Chardonnay, demonstrates the mineral precision and subtle oak integration characteristic of the appellation's finest expressions. The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Blanchot Dessus'—also Chardonnay—shows the heightened complexity and structure that distinguish premier cru sites in this storied region. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator. Chassagne-Montrachet remains one of Burgundy's most compelling terroirs for age-worthy white wine, where limestone-rich soils and cool-climate conditions coax layered fruit and tension from Chardonnay.
