Hahndorf Hill

Hahndorf Hill operates in the Adelaide Hills, a cool-climate pocket of South Australia's Mount Lofty Ranges. The winery has drawn attention from Wine Spectator, Decanter, Falstaff, and Wine Enthusiast for its Grüner Veltliner and Shiraz. The Gru Grüner Veltliner, a white of Austrian origin adapted to Australian terroir, leads the portfolio in critical assessment. A Reserve expression of the same variety offers a second interpretation. The Shiraz—a grape that defines much of South Australia's identity—rounds out the core range. Adelaide Hills' elevation and maritime influence create conditions suited to both the crisp minerality of Grüner Veltliner and the structured red wines the region produces.
