Hans Gangl

Hans Gangl produces Zweigelt from the Neusiedlersee region of Burgenland, Austria's easternmost wine territory. The area's continental climate and shallow lake create conditions suited to this native Austrian red variety, which develops dark fruit character and structured tannins in skilled hands. The winery's Vilex Blauer Zweigelt and Classic Blauer Zweigelt represent the range—both expressions of Zweigelt that have been assessed by Falstaff. The Neusiedlersee district is known for reds of substance and aging potential, and these bottlings reflect that regional signature.
