Hatton Estate

Hatton Estate produces Bordeaux-style blends from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand's premier red wine region on the North Island. The winery's flagship Tahi—a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot—reflects the region's warm, dry climate and gravelly soils, which favor structured, age-worthy reds. A second expression, Gimblett Road Tahi One, draws on the same varietals in a different proportion, offering an alternative interpretation of the estate's terroir. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate, establishing a track record of critical engagement with the winery's output.
