Hidalgo Albert operates in Priorat, Catalunya's steep-terraced region known for dense, mineral-driven reds. The winery produces two flagship wines that have drawn assessment from Falstaff, Decanter, and Wine Spectator. The 1270 A Vuit Red blends Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Carignan into a structured whole. Its sibling, 1270 A Vuit 'Fina' Red, recasts the blend with Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon, offering a slightly different expression of the same terroir. Both wines reflect Priorat's volcanic slate soils and the region's tradition of layering indigenous and international varieties to achieve complexity and depth.
