Hubert Brochard

Hubert Brochard works the chalky, flint-rich terroirs of Sancerre in the Upper Loire, where Sauvignon Blanc thrives in cool continental conditions. The winery's portfolio centers on the region's signature white expression: Le Cul de Beaujeu Sancerre and Terroir de Silex Sancerre both capture the mineral precision and citrus intensity that define the appellation's best examples. A rosé from Pinot Noir, Les Collines Blanches, rounds out the range. Sancerre's distinctive silex soils—ancient limestone interspersed with flint—impart a distinctive salinity and stone-fruit character to wines made here. Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator have rated Brochard's releases.
