Jonathan Maunoury works in Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame, a subregion of the Loire Valley known for its slate soils and cool-climate Cabernet Franc. The winery's flagship wines—Le Grand Champ Bourreau and Les Amandiers—are both Cabernet Franc expressions that have drawn attention from Wine Advocate and Decanter. Le Grand Champ Bourreau, the higher-rated of the two, shows the structure and dark fruit character typical of Loire Cabernet Franc grown in this terroir. Les Amandiers offers a complementary expression of the same variety. Le Petit Alphée rounds out the portfolio. These wines reflect the Loire Valley's tradition of elegant, mineral-driven reds built on acidity and age-worthiness rather than extraction.
