Karanika
Karanika operates in Amyndeon, a cool-climate pocket of Florina in northern Macedonia, where altitude and continental conditions shape distinctive wines. The winery works with indigenous Greek varieties—Xinomavro, Assyrtiko, and Limniona—grapes that thrive in this demanding terroir. Xinomavro and Assyrtiko form the backbone of Karanika's sparkling program: the Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut and Cuvée Spéciale Extra Brut, both rated by Wine Advocate and Decanter. The Limniona Unfiltered Dry Red showcases the dark-skinned variety on its own, unfiltered and direct. These wines reflect Amyndeon's mineral soils and cool growing season, where acidity and structure define the character of the bottle.
