Klaus Zimmerling produces wines from the Rheingau, Germany's premier Riesling region. The winery's portfolio centers on two varieties: Riesling and Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), both of which thrive in the region's steep, slate-rich vineyards and continental climate. The Pillnitzer Koniglicher Weinberg Riesling VDP-Grosse Lage and Pillnitzer Koniglicher Weinberg Grauburgunder VDP-Grosses Gewachs represent the winery's top expressions, with the latter achieving particular distinction.
