Kollwentz operates in Weinland, the eastern Austrian region of Burgenland known for its continental climate and mineral-rich soils. The winery produces Chardonnay and Scheurebe, grapes that thrive in this terroir. Its flagship Chardonnays—Tatschler and Gloria—demonstrate the variety's capacity for complexity and structure in Austrian hands. The Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese, a dessert wine of concentrated fruit and noble rot character, represents the region's tradition of late-harvest expression. These wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Falstaff, Decanter, and Wine Advocate.
