Korta Katarina

Korta Katarina works with the native varieties and international grapes of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, a sun-drenched region where Mediterranean warmth shapes the character of the wines. The winery's portfolio centers on three flagship expressions: The American, a Posip Bijeli that has earned a 94.0 average prestige rating from critics including Decanter and Falstaff; a Zinfandel rated 93.0; and Reuben's Private Reserve Plavac Mali, the indigenous Dalmatian red, at 91.7. Posip Bijeli, Croatia's signature white variety, brings mineral precision and aromatic complexity to The American. Plavac Mali, a dark-skinned grape rooted in the region's terroir, delivers the structure and depth expected of serious Dalmatian reds. The Zinfandel speaks to the winery's willingness to work across varietal traditions. These wines reflect the Dalmatian Coast's particular conditions—limestone soils, sea breezes, and intense sunlight—which shape both the native and adopted grapes into distinctive expressions.
