Kourtaki
Kourtaki produces wines from Peloponnesos, Greece's largest wine region, where Mediterranean climate and ancient vineyard traditions shape the character of indigenous varieties. The winery works with three distinctive grapes: Mavrodaphne, a dark-skinned variety that yields structured, age-worthy wines; Moschofilero, a white known for aromatic intensity and mineral precision; and Savatiano, the traditional base for Retsina. Kourtaki's Mavrodaphne of Patras and Apelia Moschofilero both demonstrate the region's capacity for depth and complexity, while the Retsina of Attica preserves a centuries-old Greek winemaking practice—the addition of pine resin that defines the style. These wines reflect Peloponnesos's position as a bridge between classical Greek viticulture and contemporary expression. Wine Enthusiast has rated the portfolio, affirming the technical quality across the range.
