La Fortuna produces Brunello di Montalcino from Sangiovese in Toscana, the Tuscan heartland of Italy's most structured and age-worthy red wines. The winery's portfolio spans three expressions of this classic appellation: the flagship Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, the Giobi Brunello di Montalcino, and the core Brunello di Montalcino. Sangiovese from this region is marked by tannin architecture, dark cherry and earth, and the capacity to evolve over decades. La Fortuna's wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Falstaff. The Riserva, aged longer and from selected parcels, represents the upper tier of the range. Each bottling reflects the volcanic soils and continental climate of Montalcino, where Sangiovese reaches full phenolic maturity and complexity.
