Lagoalva produces red wines from the Tejo region of central Portugal, where warm continental conditions and riverside influence shape the character of indigenous and international varieties. The winery's portfolio centers on blends built from Shiraz, Alfrocheiro Preto, and Alicante Bouschet—grapes that thrive in this terroir and bring structure and depth to the final wines. The Dona Isabel Juliana Grande Reserva, a blend of these three varieties, represents the upper tier of the range and has drawn assessment from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, and Wine Enthusiast. The standard Dona Isabel Juliana, similarly composed, sits alongside the Lagoalva de Cima Special Reserve Red in the core lineup. These wines reflect the Tejo's capacity for ripe, full-bodied reds with the acidity and tannin balance that Portuguese winemaking traditions have long emphasized.
