Le Casematte works with the indigenous grapes of Terre Siciliane, Sicily's broad appellation in the south. The winery's portfolio centers on Nocera and Nerello varieties—grapes rooted in the region's volcanic soils and Mediterranean climate. Nanuci Nocera, a single-varietal expression, demonstrates the depth of Nocera when given focus. Faro, a blend of Nerello Cappuccio, Nero d'Avola, Nocera, and Nerello Mascalese, shows the complexity that emerges from layering these native cultivars. On the white side, Peloro Bianco pairs Carricante and Grillo, two varieties that thrive in Sicily's warm conditions and bring aromatic character and minerality to the glass. The wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Decanter.
