Le Plan des Moines works the Southern Rhône's sun-drenched terroirs, crafting wines from the region's classic varieties. Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah form the backbone of their portfolio, blended with precision across two of the appellation's most prestigious names. Le Grand Pontal, their flagship Châteauneuf-du-Pape, marries Mourvedre, Grenache, and Cinsaut into a wine of structure and depth. Les Charretons, also from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, echoes similar fruit and earth with a slightly different hand. Les Vendangeuses, their Gigondas expression, pivots to Syrah and Grenache, capturing the cooler-altitude character of that hilltop appellation. The Southern Rhône's warm climate and ancient soils shape wines built for aging, with tannin and alcohol in balance. Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Wine Spectator have assessed the range.
