Lento

Lento produces wines from Calabria, the southernmost region of mainland Italy, where Mediterranean heat and ancient volcanic soils shape distinctive red and white expressions. The winery's portfolio centers on indigenous varieties: Nerello Cappuccio, Magliocco Canino, and Greco—grapes with deep roots in Southern Italian viticulture. The Lamezia Rosso Riserva, a blend of Nerello Cappuccio, Magliocco Canino, and Greco Nero, represents the winery's approach to structure and depth. Alongside it stand single-varietal offerings: a Magliocco Canino that captures the variety's dark fruit character, and a Greco that expresses the white wine potential of Calabria's terroir. Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate have rated these releases, reflecting their place within Italy's broader conversation around regional authenticity and lesser-known grape varieties.
