Lo Nuevo
Lo Nuevo produces wines from Catalunya, drawing on the region's tradition of old-vine Garnacha and Monastrell. The winery's portfolio centers on three flagship expressions: L'Opaco Old Vine Garnacha Tintorera, a blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell; Sorbo a Sorbo Old Vines Garnacha, a pure varietal; and Vilata Old Vines Monastrell-Syrah, which marries local Monastrell with Syrah. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator. The focus on old-vine fruit reflects a commitment to the textural depth and concentration that mature vines deliver in the Mediterranean climate. Garnacha and Monastrell are the anchors of Catalan viticulture, varieties that express the region's warm, dry conditions through ripe fruit and structured tannins.
