Louis Chèze works the Collines Rhodaniennes, a sub-region of the Comtés Rhodaniens in France's Rhône Valley. The winery focuses on two classical northern Rhône varieties: Syrah and Viognier. Bellissima Côte-Rôtie, a Syrah-based wine, represents the darker, more structured side of the portfolio. Pagus Luminis Condrieu and Brèze Condrieu, both Viognier expressions, showcase the pale, aromatic character that defines the appellation—floral, stone-fruit forward, and delicate. These wines have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, and Decanter. The winery's output reflects the terroir of the steep, granite-laden slopes that define this corner of the Rhône, where Syrah ripens to power and complexity, and Viognier achieves its signature perfume and minerality.
