Monte Maletto

Monte Maletto works in Erbaluce di Caluso, a distinctive corner of Piemonte in northern Italy where Alpine slopes and continental climate shape distinctive white and red wines. The winery focuses on two grapes central to the region's identity: Nebbiolo and Erbaluce. Carema Sole e Roccia, a Nebbiolo from the steep terraced vineyards of Carema, demonstrates the variety's capacity for structure and depth in this cooler microclimate. Erbaluce di Caluso Vecchie Tonneau, made from the indigenous white variety, shows how oak aging can add complexity to Erbaluce's naturally mineral character. Both wines have been assessed by Decanter and Wine Enthusiast, reflecting the technical precision required in this demanding terrain.
