Monterotondo

Monterotondo is a Tuscan winery producing wines from the Sangiovese-rich soils of Chianti Classico. The estate works with the region's traditional varieties—Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera, and Canaiolo Nero—to craft structured reds that reflect the character of central Tuscany. Seretina Chianti Classico Riserva, a blend of Malvasia Nera and Sangiovese, represents the winery's approach to the appellation's flagship expression. Vaggiolata Chianti Classico, which adds Canaiolo Nero to the blend, offers a more immediate expression of the same terroir. The winery also produces Sassogrosso Malvasia di Toscana, a white wine built on Malvasia, the aromatic variety native to the region. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Decanter.
