Nothnagl
Nothnagl is situated in Wachau, the steep-terraced heart of Austria's Niederösterreich wine region. The winery focuses on two varieties that define the area: Riesling and Grüner Veltliner, both bottled at the Smaragd level—Wachau's designation for dry, fully ripe wines of maximum intensity. The Setzberg Riesling Smaragd and Setzberg Grüner Veltliner Smaragd anchor the portfolio, joined by the Burgberg Grüner Veltliner Smaragd. These wines have been assessed by Falstaff and Wine Spectator. Wachau's terraced vineyards on the Danube's north bank produce whites of mineral precision and aromatic clarity, shaped by the region's cool continental climate and reflected schist soils.
