Piazzo

Piazzo produces Nebbiolo-based wines from Piemonte in Northern Italy, where the region's continental climate and limestone-rich soils shape wines of structure and aging potential. The winery's Barbaresco Pajorè, made from Nebbiolo, represents the pinnacle of their range, while their core Barbaresco and Barbera d'Alba offerings demonstrate command of the region's signature varieties. Nebbiolo, the grape behind both Barbaresco expressions, yields wines marked by high tannins and acidity—qualities that define the region's most serious expressions. Barbera, by contrast, brings darker fruit and softer tannin profiles to the portfolio. Piazzo's wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, and Decanter.
