Podere 414 works with Sangiovese in Maremma Toscana, the southern coastal region of Tuscany where maritime influence and mineral-rich soils shape the character of the grape. The winery's Morellino di Scansano—a Sangiovese-based wine from the region's protected designation—has drawn assessment from Decanter and Wine Enthusiast. Alongside it sits Badilante, another Sangiovese expression that reflects the terroir's particular conditions. Maremma Toscana's warm, sun-exposed hillsides and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea produce Sangiovese with ripe fruit and structural definition, qualities evident in both releases.
