Rappenhof produces Riesling from Rheinhessen, Germany's largest wine region. The winery's portfolio centers on dry and off-dry expressions of the variety, drawn from vineyard sites including Pettenthal and Oelberg. The Pettenthal Riesling GG and Oelberg Riesling GG—both designated Grosses Gewächs, Germany's classification for elite dry wines—have been assessed by Wine Advocate and Falstaff. The Niersteiner Riesling rounds out the core range. Rheinhessen's warm continental climate and diverse soils support Riesling's mineral precision and aromatic character. Rappenhof's focus on single-vineyard bottlings reflects the region's tradition of terroir-driven winemaking, where slate, limestone, and loess substrates shape the expression of the grape.
