Real Companhia Velha

Real Companhia Velha operates in the Douro region of Northern Portugal, where steep schist terraces and continental climate shape the character of port and table wines. The winery draws on traditional Douro varieties—Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Cão among them—grapes bred for structure and aging potential in this demanding terrain. Quinta das Carvaluas Tawny Porto, a blend of five of these varieties, has earned recognition from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Falstaff. The Sibio Vintage Port, similarly composed, reflects the winery's command of fortified winemaking. A Colheita Port rounds out the portfolio, adding white varieties like Gouveio to the dark-skinned core. These wines demonstrate the precision required to balance power with finesse in the Douro's most demanding expressions.
