Sagrado produces red wines from the Douro, Portugal's premier region for structured, age-worthy reds. The winery works with the classic Douro varieties—Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, and Touriga Franca—which thrive in the region's steep terraced vineyards and continental climate. The VT Reserva Tinto, a blend of all three grapes, represents the house's top expression, while the VT Vinhas Velhas Old Vines draws from mature plantings to concentrate flavor and complexity. A single-varietal Vinhas Velhas Tinto, built on Touriga Nacional alone, offers a more focused portrait of that noble grape. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, and Falstaff. Sagrado's portfolio reflects the Douro's character: dark fruit, mineral tension, and the tannin structure that defines the region's finest bottlings.
