Santa Maria La Palma

Santa Maria La Palma produces wines from Alghero, in Sardegna's northwest corner. The winery draws on regional varieties suited to the Mediterranean climate and limestone soils of the zone. Cannonau—the local name for Grenache—forms the backbone of their portfolio, yielding structured reds with the variety's characteristic spice and dark fruit. Vermentino, Sardegna's signature white, appears in crisp, mineral expressions. The Cantavigna Alghero Frizzante Rosato, made from Grenache, captures the lighter, fresher side of the grape in a lightly sparkling format. Wines from Santa Maria La Palma have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Falstaff, and Decanter.
