Scagliola

Scagliola produces wines from Piemonte in Northern Italy, drawing on the region's signature varieties. The winery's portfolio centers on Barbera, the workhorse red of the Piedmont, which appears in two of its principal offerings: Sansi Selezione and Mati Barbera d'Asti. Both have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. The winery also makes Volo di Farfalle Moscato d'Asti, a Moscato-based wine that captures the aromatic, lightly sweet character typical of the region's sparkling whites. Piemonte's continental climate and limestone-rich soils favor the development of acidity and mineral texture in its reds, while the Moscato vineyards benefit from cool nights that preserve the grape's delicate perfume. Scagliola's range reflects the traditional diversity of the region—from structured, food-friendly Barbera to the lighter, more playful Moscato d'Asti.
