Serafino produces wines from McLaren Vale, the warm heart of South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula. The region's Mediterranean climate and sandy loam soils favor the dark-skinned varieties that define the winery's portfolio. Shiraz dominates the lineup—the Sharktooth Shiraz and core Shiraz bottling both show the ripe, structured character typical of the region, with the former earning particular recognition from prestige critics. The GSM, a Grenache-Mataro-Shiraz blend, draws on a tradition of southern Rhône-inspired winemaking that has gained traction across McLaren Vale. Wines from Serafino have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Decanter, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Falstaff.
