Sonnenmulde
Sonnenmulde is situated in Weinland, the largest wine region of Niederösterreich in Austria's eastern wine country. The winery produces wines that have drawn assessment from Falstaff, Wine Spectator, and Decanter. Its portfolio includes Canopus and a Blaufränkisch, both of which rank among its highest-rated releases. The winery also makes a Trockenbeerenauslese, the botrytized dessert style that demands precise ripeness and selective harvesting. Blaufränkisch, Austria's signature dark-skinned variety, brings peppery structure and red-fruit character to the region's warm, continental climate. Weinland's sandy and loamy soils support both dry table wines and the concentrated sweet wines for which Austria has become recognized.
