Surrau produces wines from Sardegna, the Mediterranean island region of southern Italy. The winery works with indigenous varieties suited to Sardinia's sun-exposed terrain: Vermentino, a crisp white grape that thrives in the island's coastal climate, and Cannonau, the local expression of Grenache known for deep color and structured tannins. Sciala Vendemmia Tardiva, a late-harvest Vermentino, represents the winery's approach to extracting concentration and complexity from the variety. Sincaru Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva showcases the depth possible in aged Cannonau, while Vermentinu Vermentino di Gallura Superiore demonstrates the precision of Sardinian Vermentino from the northern subregion. These wines have been assessed by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Wine Spectator.
