Taisne Riocour produces champagne from the chalky soils and cool climate of France's Champagne region. The house works with the classic grapes of the appellation: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, blended and vinified to express the mineral precision and complexity the terroir demands. The Millésime Brut, a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and the Blanc de Blancs Brut, made entirely from Chardonnay, both achieve a prestige rating of 90.0. The Rosé de Saignée Brut, crafted from Pinot Noir, rates at 88.0. These wines have been assessed by Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine Spectator. The house's approach balances the structure and depth that Pinot Noir brings with the elegance and acidity Chardonnay provides—hallmarks of serious champagne production.
