Tauchner

Tauchner produces wines from Kremstal, a distinctive subregion of Niederösterreich in Austria's Weinland. The winery focuses on two signature expressions: Kremser Sandgrube Riesling and Premium Kremser Sandgrube Grüner Veltliner. Both wines draw from the Kremser Sandgrube vineyard site, which imparts mineral character typical of the region's terroir. Riesling, Austria's flagship white variety, expresses itself with aromatic intensity and precision in cool-climate conditions; Grüner Veltliner, the country's most planted grape, brings herbaceous freshness and crisp acidity. Falstaff has rated both wines at prestige level, recognizing their quality within the Austrian white wine canon. Kremstal's position along the Danube and its loess and primary rock soils create conditions suited to these varieties' expression.
