The Standish

The Standish produces Shiraz from Barossa Valley, one of Australia's most celebrated regions for the variety. The winery's portfolio centers on Shiraz in various expressions: Lamella, a pure varietal wine; Schubert Theorem Shiraz, which explores the grape's depth; and The Relic Shiraz–Viognier, a blend that introduces white grape complexity alongside dark fruit intensity. Barossa Valley's warm continental climate and old-vine plantings create the conditions for rich, structured Shiraz with pronounced character. The region's terroir—sandy loam soils and diurnal temperature swings—shapes wines of both power and balance. The Standish's releases have been assessed by Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, Decanter, and Wine Enthusiast, reflecting the caliber of fruit and winemaking on display.
