Trabucchi d'Illasi operates in Veneto, the northeastern Italian region that has long defined the character of two of Italy's most distinctive wine categories: Amarone and Recioto. Both styles emerge from the Valpolicella and Soave zones, where grapes are dried before fermentation to concentrate sugars and flavors. The winery's Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva Cent'anni blends Corvinone, Oseleta, Molinara, Rondinella, and Corvina into a structured, age-worthy red. Its Recioto della Valpolicella follows the same dried-grape method with Oseleta, Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, yielding a wine of richness and depth. The Recioto di Soave, made from Garganega alone, represents the white expression of this technique—sweet, aromatic, and textured. These three wines have been evaluated by Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Decanter, and Wine Advocate.
