Wegenstein
Wegenstein produces wines from Niederösterreich's Weinland region, where continental climate and diverse soils shape the character of Austrian viticulture. The winery's Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot Reserve demonstrates the region's capacity for structured red blends, while its Grüner Veltliner Reserve and Weissburgunder Spätlese Lieblich reflect the white wine traditions that define Lower Austria. Grüner Veltliner, Austria's signature variety, brings mineral precision and herbaceous complexity; Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) offers softer fruit and subtle sweetness in the Spätlese style. Falstaff has rated these wines, recognizing their technical merit. The portfolio spans dry reserves to off-dry dessert expressions, anchored in the Weinland's terroir.
