Weingut Hamm

Weingut Hamm produces Riesling from Ingelheim, in the heart of Rheinhessen. The region's warm continental climate and varied soils—loess, clay, and limestone—create conditions where Riesling develops both mineral precision and ripe fruit character. The winery's two flagship expressions show the range of the variety across different styles. The Ingelheimer Riesling Akazie Trocken is a dry rendition, while the Ingelheimer Riesling Feinherb sits between dry and off-dry, a traditional German classification that allows for subtle residual sweetness. Both wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate. Rheinhessen's reputation for Riesling rests on the grape's ability to balance acidity with fruit ripeness, and these bottlings exemplify that equilibrium.
