Weingut Payr
Weingut Payr is situated in Weinland, the easternmost wine region of Niederösterreich, Austria's largest wine-producing state. The winery focuses on the indigenous varieties that define the region: Grüner Veltliner, Austria's signature white, and the dark-skinned Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. The Bühl Reserve, a blend of Blaufränkisch, Merlot, and Zweigelt, represents the winery's approach to structured red wines. The Ried Rothenberg Reserve Grüner Veltliner showcases the mineral precision and green-fruit character typical of the variety in this terroir. The Steinacker Reserve, a pure Zweigelt, demonstrates the depth and spice that the grape achieves in Weinland's continental climate. Both Wine Advocate and Falstaff have assessed the winery's portfolio.
