Weingüter Wegeler

Weingüter Wegeler produces Riesling from the Rheingau, Germany's most celebrated white wine region. The winery's portfolio centers on the noble grape in its finest expressions: late-harvest and botrytized styles that capture the region's cool-climate precision and mineral depth. The Rothenberg Trockenbeerenauslese, a concentrated dessert wine of exceptional ripeness, and the Badstube Spätlese VDP. Grosse Lage, a late-harvest offering from a classified vineyard site, represent the upper reaches of German Riesling craft. The Geisenheimer Rothenberg Riesling Beerenauslese rounds out the flagship range. These wines have been assessed by Falstaff, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. The Rheingau's slate-rich soils and south-facing slopes create conditions where Riesling develops both aromatic intensity and the acidity that defines the region's character—qualities evident across Wegeler's range.
