Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want fresh, simply grilled Algarve seafood in a classic beachfront setting. It’s a destination for the product and the view, recognized by Opinionated About Dining, and draws a loyal crowd for that direct connection to the catch.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

It’s for anyone seeking a relaxed, scenic meal centered on the day’s fish. The casual terrace suits families, groups, and low-key dates where the quality of the grilled seafood and the ocean backdrop are the main attractions.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Follow the catch of the day. Prioritize simple grilled preparations, especially the signature monkfish kebabs (Espetadas de Tamboril com Camarão) or whole salt-baked fish (Peixe ao Sal). The menu is a transcript of what came in that morning.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

Book directly with the restaurant, and book ahead—especially in summer. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday, with lunch and dinner service.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

Request a terrace table for the full beachfront experience. The cuisine is traditional Portuguese seafood, not fine dining, so expect a casual atmosphere where the fish and the view are the stars.
