Good to know

Is it worth going out of your way for?: Yes, if you want a direct, hands-on taste of the North Fork's oyster culture. It's a working farm-market, not a restaurant, so the draw is the hyper-local shellfish and harbor-side setting.
Who is it for?: Visitors seeking an authentic, product-forward experience—shoppers who want to learn about local shellfish, or anyone looking for a casual, quick stop while exploring Greenport's waterfront.
What should you order?: The fresh oysters, sold directly from the farm. Ask the counter staff about the day's harvest locations and timing to understand the provenance.
How do you get a table?: It's walk-in only; no reservations are needed or taken. You order at the counter.
Anything to know before you go?: Treat it as a market, not a conventional restaurant. The focus is on buying and shucking fresh shellfish, often yourself, in a laid-back, harborside cottage atmosphere.
