Question 1

Is it worth going out of your way for?

Accepted Answer

It's a destination if you're specifically seeking a classic, late-night pub in this part of the city. For visitors staying in the Marina or Pacific Heights, it's a convenient and reliable local option, but it's not a critic-recognized dining destination.

Question 2

Who is it for?

Accepted Answer

Neighborhood regulars, professionals for after-work drinks, and anyone looking for a casual, late-night meal or a proper pour in a lived-in pub setting. It's not a polished Chestnut Street competitor.

Question 3

What should you order?

Accepted Answer

Stick to the hearty pub classics: the prime rib, NY pepper steak, French onion soup, or escargot. These dishes represent the menu's traditional strengths.

Question 4

How do you get a table?

Accepted Answer

It operates as a first-come, first-served pub. Reservations aren't typical; just show up. It can get busy later in the evening, especially on weekends.

Question 5

Anything to know before you go?

Accepted Answer

Hours vary: dinner service ends at 11pm Sunday through Tuesday, and at midnight Wednesday through Saturday, with the bar open later. It's on a quiet residential street in Cow Hollow, not a main tourist corridor.
