Alexakis produces white wines from Crete, the Mediterranean island whose volcanic soils and maritime climate shape distinctive Mediterranean varietals. The winery focuses on indigenous Greek grapes: Assyrtiko, a high-acid white with mineral precision; Vidiano, known for its aromatic profile and structure; and Athiri, traditionally blended but here presented as a single varietal expression called Athiri Dandelion. All three wines have been assessed by Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, and Wine Enthusiast. The Assyrtiko reaches an average prestige rating of 88.5, while both the Vidiano and Athiri Dandelion average 88.0—placing them in the upper-mid range of critical recognition. These bottlings reflect Crete's position as a source of mineral-driven whites suited to seafood and Mediterranean cuisine.
