Bodegas Frontaura
Bodegas Frontaura operates in Toro, the rugged wine region of Castilla y León in northwestern Spain. The appellation's continental climate and ancient alluvial soils produce wines of dark intensity and mineral grip. The winery works primarily with Tempranillo and the local Tinta de Toro, varieties that thrive in Toro's demanding terroir. Frontaura's Reserva, a Tempranillo-based wine, represents the winery's ambition at the highest level. The Aponte, also Tempranillo, and the Crianza, built from Tinta de Toro, round out the core portfolio. Wine Spectator has rated these releases. The wines reflect the character of their region: structured, age-worthy expressions with the dark fruit and savory depth that define serious Spanish reds from this corner of the Duero basin.
