Bodegas Mauro produces wines from Castilla y León, Spain's continental heartland. The winery works primarily with Tempranillo, the region's signature variety, alongside Godello and Mencia—grapes that thrive in the area's demanding climate of hot days and cool nights. The flagship VS, a Tempranillo, has been assessed by Wine Advocate, Falstaff, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, and Decanter. Valeyo Tinto, a blend of Godello and Mencia, and Terreus Paraje de Cueva Baja, another Tempranillo expression, round out the portfolio. These wines reflect the mineral intensity and structured character typical of Castilla y León's high-altitude vineyards, where diurnal temperature swings concentrate flavor and acidity.
